Training workshops on using the CIfA Selection Toolkit for archaeological archives

The CIfA Selection Toolkit has been produced to aid practitioners in the formulation of an appropriate project-specific selection strategy, ensuring that the elements retained from a working project archive for inclusion in an archaeological archive are appropriate to establish the significance of the project and support future research, outreach, engagement, display and learning activities.

Training workshops on the application of the Toolkit will take place across the country this summer and details for the dates and locations are below. The Selection Toolkit workshops have proved popular and there are not enough spaces to accommodate everyone that has shown an interest. Registration has therefore been opened for a ‘reserve list’ for each workshop in case any places become available.

The reserve list will also act as an indication for areas where additional workshops may be required. Therefore it would be helpful if all those interested in attending one of the workshops could register for the ‘reserve list’ in order to better understand the requirements for future training events. Attendance is free but you will need to register.
