SUMMARY:Equality\, diversity and inclusion lunchtime chat
DESCRIPTION:\n \n  \n \n \n Description\n In 2015 an Equality
  and Diversity Group was set up as a Special Inter
 est Group (SIG) to address pressing issues around 
 equality and diversity in archaeology. The group p
 ushed for cultural change within the profession\, 
 and within all areas of CIfA’s practice AND (fun
  fact) had the largest membership of all of CIfAâ€
 ™s groups!\n \n The group successfully pushed for 
 the development and establishment of a formal EDI 
 committee within CIfA in November 2021 to support 
 the Board of Directors in delivering its strategy 
 for equality\, diversity and inclusion. While this
  was a welcome and needed change\, the disbanding 
 of the EDI as a SIG also led to the loss of a very
  important network of passionate advocates and cam
 paigners for social equity within archaeology. Thi
 s informal lunchtime drop in is an invitation to 
 anyone interested in EDI\, and an opportunity to r
 econnect\, chat\, and share your thoughts about ED
 I within CIfA and/or the wider profession.\n \n Ad
