Workshop information
CIfA has developed a range of Standards and good practice guidance documents that are binding on all accredited members and Registered Organisations to ensure that members work to high ethical and professional standards. These are referred to and utilised throughout the sector and, as such, knowledge, and familiarity of them is incredibly important when working in archaeology.
But if you are new to the profession or looking to enter the profession, where do you start?
This CPD workshop will introduce the suite of CIfA Standard and guidance documents, highlighting their importance to the profession and providing an opportunity to discuss example scenarios. The latter will help to demonstrate how the Standards and guidance should be incorporated into the work you are already undertaking or will be undertaking as you pursue a career in archaeology.
Workshop audience
The workshop is aimed at students and early career or career change archaeologists and historic environment practitioners across the historic environment sector.
