Roundtable discussion of English planning reforms

Description

Join us for a roundtable discussion of English planning reforms! CIfA would like to host a ‘blue-sky thinking’ session to gather expert members’ views on potential improvements to planning policy. This session pre-empts forthcoming plans by the new Government to 'overhaul' planning in 2025, a plan which potentially creates opportunities to affect positive change for archaeologists to improve the value they generate through planning.

The session will focus on changes to improve Chapter 16 of the NPPF but may also consider wider relevant changes as well as the forthcoming Planning and Infrastructure and Devolution Bills. Be aware that the session will feature a short presentation and will be structured, but is mainly designed for members to lead discussion with their ideas!
