Summary

We are looking for experienced staff to join our field teams at Supervisor level.

Due to very busy field work programmes extending through autumn and beyond in all our offices we are looking to recruit keen and enthusiastic Field Project Supervisors to become part of our team. Based in our Cambridge office, however our work could take you anywhere in the country; currently we are deploying staff to sites in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Lancashire, Nottinghamshire, Essex, Norfolk, and Suffolk.

Position requirements:

  • The role will mainly be field based, but some time may/will also be spent in the office.
  • Significant experience of professional archaeological fieldwork within the UK or Irish commercial environment and have a good understanding of the archaeology.
  • On-site responsibility for watching briefs, evaluations and small to medium excavations on a range of both home and away-based projects. May run areas of larger excavations.
  • Good understanding of relevant HSE legislation.
  • Producing reports. Engaging the wider community. Performance monitoring and training.
  • A full clean driving licence and the ability to drive OA company vehicles, a current CSCS card.
  • Membership of CIfA is desirable, and SSSTS qualification (or similar) will be advantageous.
  • A degree in archaeology or related discipline will be highly advantageous.
