Summary

CFA is currently looking to appoint a new Principal Heritage Consultant to lead our consultancy team.  The position is open to applicants to work either at our Musselburgh office in Scotland or at our office in Leeds, West Yorkshire.  We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in a senior consultancy role with demonstrable ability to undertake the tasks necessary to deliver EIA Report chapters for complex projects to a high standard and to motivate and manage a small team of consultants.  You will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of the consultancy team and help to develop and expand the business portfolio. 

Key business sectors include renewable energy, transport, housing and masterplans, commercial developments, and mineral extractive industries.

The Candidate:

You should have extensive experience of producing Heritage Impact Assessments and EIA Reports across a range of business sectors.  You should be self-motivated, with a good positive attitude and work ethic, and be an effective team-worker and communicator.  You should also be able to show that you are able to formulate robust impact assessments that can be sustained at Public Inquiries and Examinations.

You should be able to demonstrate that you have the skills necessary to take on a senior project management role: preparing costed budgets for projects, maintaining financial records, and leading a team of personnel across our three offices.  You should be dedicated to your own continuous professional development and be able to guide and develop the skills of other team personnel.

You should be willing and able to travel to locations across the UK in connection with your work.
