Summary

Job description/person specification You will have at least 12 months supervisory experience in UK commercial archaeology. You will be enthusiastic, a problem solver and have a willingness to work, learn and take instruction. You should be fit and capable of undertaking physical work, with a courteous and professional manner. A good understanding of site narratives and formation processes is essential. Although the role is predominantly site based, you will be required to undertake post-excavation tasks as necessary.

All candidates must have the following:

•Good knowledge and understanding of British archaeology of all periods

• A commitment to working ethically within an industry wide Code of Conduct

• A thorough understanding of the nature of UK commercial archaeology

• The ability to work to deadlines through the effective management of any team

•A proven track record demonstrating an ability in a wide variety of archaeological methods and practices.

•Willingness to work away from home

•Driving licence

•Excellent communication and demonstratable report writing experience

•Positive can-do attitude and appreciation of the working environment
