Summary

Cotswold Archaeology continues to grow as a sustainable and strong business, working as one company from our four offices. We have ambitious plans for the future and are committed to achieving them through strengthening and developing our core team of professionals. We are now looking for a talented individual who wants to do important, interesting and challenging post-excavation work to join us as an Assistant Post-Excavation Manager or Post-Excavation Manager

Based within our busy Publications department, your key responsibilities will include project management; contributing to and quality assuring analytical, interpretative and publication work; providing guidance and support to project team members; and engaging with quality systems within, and the overall management of, the Publications department and the wider company.

To be considered for the Post-Excavation Manager position, you will need to be able to demonstrate that you have considerable experience of post-excavation work, are able to produce accurate narratives and interpretation of fieldwork results, manage specialist contributions, and write, compile and edit publication reports to a high standard. You should also have some experience of managing a portfolio of post-excavation projects, and of completing such projects to budget and deadline within a commercial environment.

We are also keen to hear from people with more limited project management experience who are keen to develop their careers in this field as an Assistant Post-Excavation Manager. You will already have experience working within archaeological post-excavation and will have authored reports in your own right.

For either role you will possess excellent leadership and organisational skills, capable of managing a demanding personal work schedule, with the ability to lead a project team and ensure internal and external targets are met without compromising quality standards. You will be a member of the CIfA at MCIfA level (or able to demonstrate that you meet the requirements and join if appointed) and hold a full manual driving licence.

If this sounds like you, and you are looking to progress your career with a leading, ambitious and forward-thinking company, we would love to hear from you.

Financial and practical assistance with relocation is available. Our competitive benefits package includes up to 30 days annual leave, paid sick leave, death in service, pension and an Employee Assistance Programme.
