Summary

Trainee Environmental Assistant Grade 1.1 - £19,976.82 per annum - The training plan takes a minimum of 3 months to complete and will be over seen and mentored by our Environmental Processing Supervisor and further supported by the Post Excavation Team.

Environmental Assistant Grade 1.2 - Grade 1.3 - £22,346.67per annum - £23, 257.89 per annum dependant on experience.

We are currently looking to appoint an Environmental Assistant or Trainee Environmental Assistant to support our in-house Post Excavation team. You will be based at our head office in Lincoln and will be working as part of a sizable team of experienced archaeologists on a variety of exciting projects.

Your main role will be processing environmental samples, with the potential to develop a specialism within this area. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain more experience and develop a career within Environmental Archaeology and Post Excavation within a busy and dynamic company.

In addition to the basic salary, you will receive:

Essential:

  • Basic knowledge of British archaeology
  • Experience of working with environmental material either through study or work
  • Experience or knowledge of archaeological sampling procedures
  • Enthusiasm and a willingness to work in a team, learn and take instruction
  • Fit and capable of undertaking physical work
  • A courteous and professional manner

Desirable:

  • A post-graduate degree in Environmental Archaeology
  • Experience of processing archaeological environmental samples 
  • At least 3 months experience of UK commercial Archaeology
  • Membership of CIfA at PCIfA level
  • Full Driving Licence
