Ecus is a forward-thinking multi-disciplinary environmental consultancy, headquartered in Sheffield with regional offices across the country. The Graphics Officer role is to be based at either Barnard Castle, Sheffield or Basingstoke, the homes of our national archaeology service.

The role
We are recruiting for a Graphics Officer to support the production of project designs, grey literature reports and reports for publication with high-quality figures and images. You will need to be skilled in both CAD and GIS and able to handle digital data arising from archaeological site work, particularly survey data. You must have a willingness to learn any new skills required of the role and existing skills in Adobe programs Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat will be beneficial. Training to boost skills will be offered.
Being based in any one of our three archaeology offices, you will manage your own work programme and be responsible for producing graphics for Ecus offices across the country. You will need to be an excellent team worker, able to prioritise effectively, and to meet project time allocations and deadlines. You will lead on and maintain consistency, quality, house standards and formats for graphics.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 30-hours per week. Other part-time or job share arrangements would be considered for exceptional candidates. Previous experience of an equivalent role or a background in archaeological fieldwork would be advantageous.
