The Role:
We’re seeking a motivated Heritage Consultant to join our team. This home-based role requires candidates to be located in the South of England or Midlands area, with regular site visits and occasional overnight stays. Attendance at our North East office (South Shields) is required a few times a year.
You will undertake research, data collection, and reporting to support the delivery of heritage consultancy projects. Responsibilities will include conducting desk-based research, visiting sites, and producing high-quality assessments like Desk-Based Assessments and Heritage Statements.
We are keen to find someone with practical experience of archaeological work, either from being on-site or managing projects, to ensure they can hit the ground running in a professional consultancy setting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in heritage and archaeological consultancy or related fields.
- Knowledge or experience in Historic Building Recording, Historic Landscape Assessments, or Cultural Heritage Environmental Statements.
- Membership with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) at least at ACIfA level.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Flexibility to travel and stay overnight as required.
