The Position:

We are seeking a Post -Doctoral Researcher, for a four- year post, to join our highly successful and respected Rewilding project.  The successful candidate will work with lead investigator Anwen Cooper, primarily as an environmental archaeology specialist and a key contact with contemporary wildlife specialists in carrying out research on the ‘Rewilding’ later prehistory: Bronze and Iron Age ecologies from the perspective of the wild project.

The ‘Rewilding’ project will trial a new mode of industry-led cross-sector research in exploring later prehistoric wildlife and its relevance to contemporary ecological debates.

A PhD relating to the archaeology of north-west Europe, preferably prehistory, is required
