Project Officer (Geoarchaeology)

MOLA are looking for a qualified Project Officer (Geoarcheology) to work from our London office.

This will be an opportunity to assist the Head of Geoarchaeology with the undertaking and completion of Geoarchaeology project work in accordance with MOLA policies, procedures and standards, within budget and to an agreed timescale. Liaise with MOLA staff, internal and external specialists, archaeological planning advisors, consultants, clients and volunteers as and when necessary. Develop and enhance the Geoarchaeological deposit modelling database.

The role

You will be meticulous in your work approach, a natural problem solver and be interested in developing methodologies.  You will already have extensive geoarchaeological experience including supervising geoarchaeological projects, proven ability in working with GIS and Rockworks and be keen on mentoring junior Geoarchaeologists. You will be looking to help develop MOLA geoarchaeology further.

You will ideally have at least one years of  UK commercial geoarchaeology experience or relative academic experience. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to work within large teams and have a flexible approach to deployment. 

European commercial experience will also be considered and we welcome applications from EU Citizens. CSCS card holders are preferred.
