Summary

Due to our ongoing and upcoming projects and workload, we are looking to appoint a Project Supervisor on a permanent basis, subject to the successful completion of a three-month probationary period.

You will be supervising teams of experienced archaeologists and trainees on a variety of projects, primarily based out of our head office in Lincoln, for fieldwork projects across the UK, but with a particular focus in the East Midlands and East Anglia.

Project Supervisor Grade 2.2: £29,421.88 pa

You will have at least 6 months experience of supervising commercial fieldwork projects such as watching briefs and small evaluations in the UK, working on your own and/or leading small teams, and preparing the subsequent grey literature reports.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Sound knowledge and understanding of British archaeology of all periods
  • Experience of post-excavation analysis and reporting
  • An enthusiasm and strong ability in field archaeological practices
  • Willingness to work on your own or leading a team
  • A courteous and professional manner
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Good knowledge of using GIS software
  • Experience of supervising staff
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive outlook
  • Driving licence

Desirable

  • Relevant archaeological qualification
  • Experience of GIS packages such as QGIS3
  • CIfA membership
