The Role
MOLA is seeking an experienced archaeological professional to head up the role of Regional Manager for our Stansted field team. This is a key role within MOLA and applicants should have experience of strategic planning, winning and delivering commercial archaeological projects, of managing effective teams and creating a positive environment where everyone can develop to their full potential.
You will support with business growth for the Stansted team securing a pipeline of new work, through active business development and repeat business. You will closely monitor performance against targets and taking corrective action when required. You will be expected to contribute towards MOLA’s overall strategic development and vision in order to meet our goals.
You will be line managing a group of Project Managers but with oversight of, and engagement with, the whole team. You must be passionate about the archaeology of the area and be able to deliver both our public benefit and commercial objectives.
This role provides the opportunity to instigate, develop and contribute to MOLA’s growth and to collaborate, support and inspire colleagues in meeting our EDI strategy, broadening MOLA’s opportunities, and providing access to careers in archaeology.
Stansted Projects
The Stansted Projects team is a core commercial function at MOLA with responsibility for delivering mainly field-based services to help clients meet their planning requirements and to be part of the team delivering public benefit.
The Team includes project managers, field staff, and geomaticians, but also works and collaborates across wider MOLA teams including processors, post-excavation specialists, report writers, operational business support teams and our other in-house specialist teams.
