Job vacancy: Membership Services Coordinator

We are looking to recruit a Membership Services Coordinator to support the administration of applications for individual membership, and the annual cycle of Registered Organisation inspections. The MSC will also assist colleagues with delivering CIfA initiatives in line with our strategic plan and business plan through meetings and communications.

The Chartered Institute for Archaeologists is the leading professional institute representing archaeologists in the UK and overseas. We champion professionalism in archaeology, set and monitor professional standards, promote good practice and have just over 4000 individual members and 80 organisations on our register. This role has been identified to help support individual archaeologists and organisations applying for accreditation, and to facilitate and encourage wider communication and promote the work of the Institute.

We are looking for a focussed and self-motivated individual, who can manage a range of diverse tasks to join our team. You will have a background in administration and processing data, and strong communication skills (both written and verbal). You will be familiar with a range of IT systems and be confident in the use of social media and websites.

With good analytical skills and attention to detail, you will assist, encourage and administer applications, arrange inspection panels, take minutes, and provide support for communication and promotion of CIfA activities. An understanding of the historic environment sector and/or the role of professional institutes is desirable.
