ALGAO:England are holding a training day on 2 March at the Birmingham and Midland Institute.
2016 saw the publication of the first white paper for culture (including heritage) in more than 50 years and yet it came at time when government funding is becoming ever more constrained and political pressure for reform of the planning system ever more insistent. The Training Day will explore what this could mean for local government archaeology services. How can we respond positively to these challenges, strengthen our engagement with place-making, modernise our systems and improve the outcomes of our interventions?
ALGAO members can book two places free of charge with additional places at a cost of £15 per person.
Non ALGAO members will be charged £30 per person.
A full programme for the day is available here.
