Churches are increasingly coming under pressure to better serve their communities by providing additional facilities including basics such as heating, kitchens and WCs plus opportunities for meeting rooms and general reordering. All these changes need to pass through the Faculty System before implementation. This conference seeks to guide delegates through the process of understanding and acknowledging significance of church buildings, and summaries the law and Faculty system which must be followed. Case studies illustrate the issues and there will be opportunity to ask questions. The day promises to be a MUST for conservation practitioners, Local Authority Conservation staff, DAC Members and Church representatives.
