Summary

Archaeology Warwickshire’ is the trading name of Warwickshire County Council’s commercial archaeology and heritage team. Formerly part of the County Museum, we have built upon our local expertise and developed an enviable reputation for quality, reliability and fairness.

We are now looking for ambitious graduates, skilled technicians and talented archaeologists to join us for an exciting range of projects across the midlands. Based in our Warwick office you can expect to be paid to travel to and from site, work agile contracts that allow you to take time when you need it and be eligible for outstanding training and CPD opportunities.

Graduate Trainees – join our 24 week programme of intensive supervised training that will include Health & Safety, excavation skills, site recording, desk-based research and post-excavation processing, illustration and report writing.

Senior Field Technicians – at least 6 months commercial archaeology experience and preferably including a UK recognised training programme or skills passport. Full time and permanent.

Archaeologists – at least 12 months commercial experience on a wide variety of sites, willingness to carry out solo working and a driving licence. You will need your own car if you are under 25 and have been driving for less than two years but you will be paid 45p for every necessary mile driven as well as £13-15 per hour outside your normal 7.4hr working day. Full time and permanent.
