Summary
AB Heritage Limited is seeking an experienced Heritage Consultant or Senior Heritage Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality archaeological and heritage assessments, including Archaeology Desk-Based Assessments, Heritage Statements, Cultural Heritage Environmental Statements, and Historic Building Recording Surveys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate archaeological and heritage assessments.
- Conduct site visits and evaluations as required.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure timely project delivery.
What We’re Looking For: We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional with a strong background in commercial heritage consultancy, and applicants must have proven experience in the sector.
You’ll either join our North East office team based out of South Shields or work remotely from a location in the South / South East, with occasional travel to our head office in South Shields. Regular site visits will be required, and overnight stays are anticipated a few times each month.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience producing Archaeology Desk-Based Assessments and Heritage Statements.
- An understanding of, or experience in, (if possible) one or more of the following: Historic Building Recording, Cultural Heritage ES or Historic Landscape Settings Assessment
- A full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Membership with the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (CIfA) or equivalent professional body.
- The flexibility to travel within the UK and stay away from home as required.
