About DigVentures

DigVentures is a social enterprise dedicated to enabling meaningful civic participation in archaeology and nature recovery projects. As a Chartered Institute for Archaeologists Registered Organisation and recipient of the Europa Nostra European Heritage Award, our work focuses on organising communities in support of cultural and natural resource initiatives. We champion regenerative and sustainable research methods that activate individuals and communities at local, regional, and global levels.

In this role, you’ll ensure our stories, discoveries, and impact are understood, celebrated and championed by all our audiences across multiple channels. You’ll help to inform, grow, and reward our supporter base, and run campaigns that support specific goals. You’ll also help to design and deliver creative and accessible public events programmes, and can expect to work with wide-ranging communities and people of all ages, through talks, classes, workshops, pop-up exhibitions, festivals, school sessions, and more. Plus, you’ll support our team of Community Archaeologists by welcoming Venturers, leading family-friendly dig sessions, and ensuring our Venturers have the best possible experience while they’re with us. Above all, you’ll need a commitment to making archaeology, heritage, and nature recovery work accessible and meaningful to the public.

How to Apply

We understand that roles within this industry under-represent those from low-income, marginalised and minoritised communities, and we encourage application from individuals from these backgrounds. You do not need to have a university degree for these roles: we care about your character, your experience and your ability to demonstrate leadership and practice personal growth. We are also more than happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments you might need to achieve the role whilst living with a health condition or disability - please don't hesitate to contact us at any point in the application process.
