Working practices

Archaeology provides more than 7000 jobs, contributes over £100m to the UK economy every year and employs highly skilled specialists in a diverse range of fields across the private, public and third sectors.

The practice of archaeology is constantly evolving and so are the organisations and structures that support it. A strong sector requires these organisations, which include professional institutions, trade bodies and trade unions, to work effectively and collaborately.
