AMP up your career!
Historic England are launching small grants for Archaeological Mentoring Partnerships (AMP) in March 2025 to support the development of post-excavation specialist skills.
AMP grants will provide funding to enable experienced practitioners in archaeological post excavation specialisms to provide emerging professionals with structured skills development in specific skills areas, using a mentoring approach over a focused period of time.
To support the launch of these grants we are running a workshop for potential Mentors and Mentees to meet, and also to learn good practice in what makes a great mentoring partnership!
Are you an experienced heritage professional who would like to offer structured mentoring to focused on developing specialist skills in a post excavation area?
Are you an early or mid-career specialist that can demonstrate a particular skills gap and would like receive one-to-one mentoring from a more experienced professional?
Are you a manager in the post-excavation process interested in understanding how mentoring can support your team's CPD?
Then this is the event for you!
Come along and create your Partnership, then find out how to apply for an AMP grant!
You can also find out more about AMP grants and how to apply on the Historic England website
This event is run as a fringe event to the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists Conference 2025. It is free of charge, and you do not need to purchase a full conference ticket to attend, however booking is required due to limited capacity.
