Use the links below to find information about how to prepare your accredited application or upgrade application at each grade (PCIfA, ACIfA, MCIfA).
It is important to read the information carefully and allow time to gather all the information you need before you submit your application.
You can also get in touch with us if you have any questions about what to include - please email membership@archaeologists.net.
If you have recently resumed working in the historic environment or have recently been promoted, please get in touch with Lianne at membership@archaeologists.net to check that you can provide enough evidence from your current and previous roles to demonstrate the criteria in the four areas of the competence matrix. This may mean providing additional references and/or examples of work.
You might need to do some additional preparation before you apply. Please refer to these useful links:
- Standards and Code of conduct - make sure you understand and work in accordance with them.
- Resources for professional ethics - including the ethics database, CIfA professional practice paper and ethics case studies.
- e-learning modules - subjects include professionalism and everyday ethics (free to members, non-members pay a small fee).
