MOLA is one of the UK's leading archaeology organisations and an independent education charity. We're looking for enthusiastic Archaeologists to join our growing Stansted field team, working on a diverse range of commercial projects across Essex, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and occasionally further afield.

As an Archaeologist, you'll excavate and record archaeological remains from a variety of periods and site types while contributing to the delivery of high-quality heritage services. There may also be opportunities to develop skills in GPS survey and post-excavation work.

At MOLA, we're committed to developing our people. We offer mentoring, training and opportunities to build specialist skills and progress your career through internal development and promotion.

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Experience of archaeological fieldwork and recording, particularly on commercial projects.
  • Good organisational, communication and teamwork skills.
  • A commitment to creating a safe, positive and inclusive working environment.

A full UK driving licence is advantageous, and we'd particularly welcome applications from archaeologists who are willing to drive MOLA vehicles.

The role is based at our Stansted office. Transport to site is provided in MOLA vehicles, and accommodation and subsistence are provided for working away from home in line with MOLA policy.

We have start dates available throughout September and October and will review applications as they are received, so early applications are encouraged.

For an informal discussion, please contact Peter Boyer (Regional Manager) at pboyer@mola.org.uk or Audrey Charvet (Assistant Project Manager) at acharvet@mola.org.uk.

Please apply via the recruitment portal on the MOLA website.

Closing date: Sunday 18 October at 11.59 pm.

Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without restriction. MOLA is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.
