York Archaeology delivers commercial archaeological services from offices at York, Sheffield and Nottingham. The organisation provides world-famous heritage attractions, including excavation, survey, consultancy, expert conservation services, research, and an unmatched commitment to dissemination, engagement, and public benefit.
We require additional field staff (Project Archaeologists and Senior Project Archaeologists) operating from our York office to deliver a wide range of archaeological projects, including sites of prehistoric, Roman, and medieval date, both rural and urban. Applicants will be expected to work locally within the region and farther afield; accommodation, transport and subsistence funds will be provided.
Essential criteria:
- A degree in archaeology or a related discipline and an appropriate level of demonstrable experience
Desirable criteria:
- A driving licence would be advantageous, but not essential
- CIfA membership
- A First Aid at Work certificate would be advantageous, but not essential
