York Archaeology delivers commercial archaeological services as part of York Archaeology (YA) from offices in York, Sheffield, and Nottingham. The organisation provides world-famous heritage attractions with excavation, survey, consultancy, expert conservation services, research, and an unmatched commitment to dissemination, engagement, and public benefit.
We require Project Supervisors in our York Office to assist Project Officers in implementing agreed fieldwork programmes within strict time and budgetary constraints. This could include supervising small to medium field teams, independent excavation, survey and recording, or elements of post-excavation analysis and reporting.
Requirements:
- A degree in archaeology or related discipline and an appropriate level of demonstrable experience
- A driving licence
- CIfA membership is preferred
- A First Aid at Work certificate would be advantageous, but not essential
