Description

CIfA has developed a range of Standards and good practice guidance documents that are binding on all accredited members and Registered Organisations to ensure that members work to high ethical and professional standards. These are referred to and utilised throughout the sector and, as such, knowledge and familiarity of them is incredibly important when working in archaeology.

This workshop will provide an introduction to the suite of CIfA Standard and guidance documents, with guest speakers providing the context to their use and demonstrating how they should be incorporated into the work you’re already undertaking or will be undertaking as you pursue a career in archaeology. This workshop is aimed at early career archaeologists and students who are about to enter the profession.

Featured presenters:
Cara Jones, Senior Professional Development and Practice Coordinator Scotland, CIfA
Jen Parker Wooding, Senior Professional Standards and Practice Coordinator, CIfA
Victoria Olesky, AOC Archaeology Group
