Archaeological Research Services Ltd are recruiting Archaeologists at Archaeological Officer, Assistant Project Officer and Project Officer levels for work on a variety of projects around the UK, attached to one of our offices. We have positions available for an immediate start. We particularly welcome candidates for our Bedford office.
The Position
Do you have a passion for delivering value and benefit through archaeology and a business-focussed professional service? We are looking for highly motivated and competent individuals with a drive to get projects completed on time. We are looking for organised and efficient people with a range of experience.
Successful candidates will have good team-working ability, enthusiasm and drive to complete tasks and contribute to the operational success of the project. They will have experience of taking part in field projects, contributing to post-excavation work, a sound knowledge of UK archaeology and the ability to write accurate, clear English. Responsibilities include delivering a wide range of projects where you will be accountable to the relevant Project Officer or Projects Manager. Survey and IT skills will be an advantage. For more senior positions (Assistant Project Officer and Project Officer levels) you need to be an effective leader, motivator and manager of a team. You need to be a highly competent field archaeologist, with experience of organising and running field projects, completing post-excavation work and producing high quality reports for a wide range of projects.
