Could you be our next Trustee!

Cotswold Archaeology is a registered charity and limited company that was established in 1989. We exist to increase public awareness and appreciation of the past, which we achieve by creating and communicating knowledge so that it can be valued and enjoyed by present and future generations. We are a leading supplier of professional heritage services in the UK and operate in a competitive market.

We have a professional staff of over 350 across our four offices in Andover, Cirencester, Milton Keynes and Suffolk.

We are now looking to recruit a new Trustee, whose primary role is to work with the rest of the Board to further the vision, purpose, charitable objectives and values of Cotswold Archaeology.

We are looking for someone with a background in one of the following areas: academic publishing/digital dissemination; archaeological research; field archaeology; heritage management and consultancy, or public engagement, both digital and in-person. This is not an exclusive list, however, and candidates with other relevant heritage skills are encouraged to apply.

Our Board normally meets twice a year, plus an Annual General Meeting, while the successful candidate will be expected to join the Archaeology and Public Engagement sub-committee which meets on a further two occasions. A total time commitment of up to eight days per annum is to be expected.

The Trustee position is a voluntary one although all reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

For more detailed information about the vacancy please follow this https://cotswoldarchaeology.co.uk/be-our-next-trustee/

To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter explaining why you want to join our Board and the skills and experience that you bring to:

Samantha Wallace, People Director, Samantha.Wallace@cotswoldarchaeology.co.uk

The opportunity will remain open until 27 November, and we plan to hold interviews at our Kemble office near Cirencester in the week commencing 8 December.

If, after reading the brochure you would like more information or an informal discussion regarding the position of Trustee, please contact Samantha Wallace and she will arrange this.
